Like all things LG, the 32LC2D LCD HD Ready Television is a very stylish piece of technology. It comes in a cool matte-black finish with a large silver strip at the bottom to house the speakers. The LG 32LC2D ships with a sleek silver stand, but there are wall mounting options available that will allow you to hang the TV on the wall.
There is a wide range of connections on the back of the unit, which includes one (yes, just one) HDMI input, a component video input, a composite video input, Stereo audio input and output, digital audio output, CAM slot, RF input, RF output, three scarts, D-sub PC input, PC audio input, remote control jacks, RS-232C jack and a S-video input.
The unit weighs 34Kg and it measures 950(w) x 731(h) x 130(d) mm.

LG Electronics blames Q4 slide on dull flat-panel sales
SEOUL, South Korea South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. said Tuesday (Jan. 23) that the company's quarterly operating income slid into the red in the fourth quarter of 2006, due largely to sluggish sales in flat-panel displays and tight year-end inventory control of its flagship products. It was the first time that the company had recorded a deficit in its quarterly operating income since April 1, 2002. The company's fourth-quarter sales revenue totaled 5.52 trillion won ($5.87 billion) for the three-month period ended Dec. 31, LG Electronics said in a regulatory filing. The drop represented an 8.8 percent decrease from $6.44 billion in the third quarter and a 10.7 percent drop from $6.6 billion a year ago. The company's fourth-quarter revenue brought LG's overall sales performance throughout 2006 to $24.68 billion, which represented a drop of 2.5 percent from $25.32 billion in 2005, according to the company.
Sharp Aquos LC-32D50U
The Sharp Aquos LC-32D50U produced--appropriately enough--sharp images and natural-looking colors that made TV viewing a pleasure. The high price ($1700 as of 12/8/06) and the titanium-colored cabinet won't be for everyone, but the unique design and features may work for some consumers. The LC-32D50U was excellent at reproducing skin tones in high-definition segments. It also produced good contrast and detail in dark scenes from a DVD movie. .
35 mln color TV sets sold in China in 2006
Thirty-five million color TV sets were sold for a total of 93.5 billion yuan (12 billion U.S. dollars) in China last year, the China Securities Journal reported Monday. Cheap traditional cathode ray tube (CRT) sets still account for more than fifty percent of the market in yuan terms with sales of 52 billion yuan in 2006, but sleek, fashionable flat-screen models continue to make inroads despite the stiffer price tag. Sales of flat screen sets shot up by 151 percent year-on-year to 4.8 million units last year, worth 41 billion yuan, and are expected to hit 8.1 million units in 2007 and 12 million units in 2008. Of the flat-screen total, 3.9 million were liquid crystal display (LCD) sets worth 34 billion yuan, and the other 900,000 were plasma screen sets which sold for 7 billion yuan.
